White paper - technical aspects of the floating flexi weir

An informal white paper related to the NSW government's plan to introduce a desalination plant at Kurnell. It investigates other ways of adding 500M/l per day to the potable water supply and comes up with a great idea - it seems at first glance like a crazy first pass but when you think about it the plan (called a "floating flexi-weir" (FFW) at sea level) proves that this amount of water is in reality only a small amount that can be achieved quite easily. All you have to do is start thinking outside the square.

FFDP - Flash flood diversion plan

In response to Queensland flash floods 2011. Concept document. Key elements of a flash flood diversion plan (FFDP). A very rudimentary drawing but addresses key elements of the plan. Damage of flash flooding is related directly to the course of and huge speed of a temporary water flow. Therefore a FFDP does not seek to stop flooding but to ameliorate risk by changing the watercourse. Here we look at a small hamlet on the banks of a creek subject to flash flooding.

Compliance Model 2 - Compliance factors

NOTE: THIS IS A DIAGRAM ONLY. If we apply the compliance model to our operations, this results in key compliance factors and a number of key questions that arise that help us evaluate our operations, short, medium and long term. Profitability is no longer the key concept. There are bigger and more important issues.
