This work schedule is designed for consultants planning their commitment to an external job or for internal jobs with "days only" assignments and includes a nine week planning schedule, days planned, and a calculation of the effort required by the team at 3 levels of assignment (project manager, senior, junior), and also a calculation of the effort required by the client at 2 levels of assignment (manager, worker). This can be used as a basic GANTT chart.

A Microsoft Excel project overview/summary to accompany the Word picture in J-2003. GANTT related information. This is a system development project. It only has 5 stages and 15 steps for the whole project, but a very useful quickie when you are doing your early planning on the back of an envelope.

This 13 week timeline shows a list of phases and tasks plotted on a graph over time. Some people need to see the information in this form to understand it. This is a simplified timeline which proves that you don't need to learn a whole new set of skills to employ it. Simply colour-in the boxes, or take a felt-tip pen and draw a line.
