Register of Interest (ROI)

This Register of Interest (ROI) is expected to be prepared by suppliers with whom we hope to create a long term relationship. The successful suppliers will be added to our short list and from time to time will be requested to issue a quotation for goods and/or services. The ROI allows us to check them out first before we start to buy from them on a regular basis, or to only issue the RFQ to suppliers who have been checked and proven as viable.

Registration of Interest (ROI)

The Registration of Interest (ROI) is the first step in a two step process for dealing with RFT. Vendors are invited to register their interest. This enables the Issuer to evaluate the responses and to only issue the RFT to chosen vendors. Responses are evaluated and a short-list of possible vendors drawn up. The short-listed vendors are then asked to respond to the RFT.

Tenderer's details

Only a very simple document but interesting. The issuer wants to understand the nature of the tenderer who is registering their EOI. The issuer asks the tenderer's agent to tell him/her the legal nature of the assignment that will legally bind the tenderer, defines four SMETypes and six company types and then asks questions particular to those types. Australian tender document. (EOI RFT Tenderer details)

Request for Information

The Request for Information (RFI) is a formal request sent to a number of vendors asking for specific information about product and/or service. Its main objectives are to state clearly the information needed and to give clear deadlines for the information. It also needs to protect important information that needs to be given to the vendor in order to get required information back from the vendor. The RFI is usually the first step in a process that will finish up with a RFT.
