Stage 6 - User acceptance testing and certification following a successful hand-over from the developers at stage 5. It contains a detailed planning document plus a process flow diagram, a simple (14 steps) procedure, glossaries, etc. This document (the user acceptance test) is the key project document that enables the implementation of a system and the payment of the major elements of a development contract. It pays particular reference to the user specification statement in stage 3. It also contains a user acceptance certificate and a formal authorization for handover.
